Machine wash 40-60 degrees and Tumble or Hang
Hemp fabric is probably the most absorbent and ecological fabric of all. To grow hemp no pesticide nor fertilizers are necessary, it’s a very disease-resistant and undemanding strain of plants.
.
These extra long 2-layer hemp/bamboo inserts offer superior absorbency as well as easier washing and a shorter drying time than inserts with sewn-together layers. Simply fold the insert in half at the long end to create 4 thirsty layers of heavyweight fabric. They fit into any one-size cover and can be folded again in the front or back to provide even more layers in the wet zone. The hemp/bamboo mixture helps the insert stay soft even with repeated washing.
.
- Non-bleached, Non-dyed
- Certified Oeko-Tex
- Tested as safe for children under 3 years of age
.
Shrinking of hemp fabric is natural event. After washing you can stretch the insert with your hands, so it will get back to its original length.

Want LESS laundry?
A wool cover over a flat or fitted nappy could be the answer.
Wool is treated with lanolin (natural sheep wax) which makes it water resistant and anti-microbial.
The best bit is you only need to hand-wash it ONCE A MONTH or if it gets poo on it.
Check out our lanolin for instructions and all the gorgeous, temperature regulating, natural wool nappy covers here.
